Pakistan Attack Live Updates: Gunmen Open Fire Inside Bacha Khan University Near Peshawar


Three armed men entered the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda in Pakistan’s restive northwest Khyber -Pakhtunkhwa province, located 40 kilometres from Peshawar in Pakistan, and opened gunfire on Wednesday, Pakistani media reported. At least three persons have been injured in the firing.

There are said to be many students present inside the university campus. Security forces have reached the university where the shooting was reported.




“Armed men stormed into the university premises early this morning,” Sardheri police officials said, adding that two explosions were heard inside the building.

Eyewitnesses also said they heard explosions. They said three armed men had entered the premises of the varsity. Officials added that two guards were injured at the gate besides one other person.

Meanwhile, extensive firing continues in the area and heavy contingents of elite force have been deployed.
