WHAT! Anushka Sharma rejected Marriage Proposal Of Virat Kohli

New Delhi:

The Valentine’s Day is around the corner, but it seems that love is loosing its way in the tinselvile as several celebrity couples are heading for a break-up.

The year began with shocking news of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s break-up, followed by Farhan Akhtar’s divorce with wife Adhuna.

Then came the buzz about rifts between Arbaaz Kahan and Malaika Arora Khan.

And now another couple seems to be following the trend. We are talking about Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.

As per the recent buzz, Anushka Sharma has turned down Virat’s marriage proposal.

If the gossip mills are to be believed, Virat wanted to marry the diva this year, but Anushka wants to focus on her career as of now.

This denial has led to disputes between the couple and they haven’t really been talking to each other much,

say the media reports.

Notably, Anushka and Virat had recently unfollowed each other on Instagram raising speculations about rift in their love affair. And with this buzz about Anushka not marrying Virat only adds fuel to rumours that the couple is heading for the split.

We just hope that things get sorted out soon between Anushka and Virat.Currently, Anushka Sharma is busy shooting for her forthcoming movie ‘Sultan’ opposite Salman Khan which is expected to hit the silver screen on Eid this year.

Who said what: World reacts after India whitewash Australia 3-0 in T20Is

Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli helped India clinch a whitewash over Australia

Shane Watson’s century went in vain as fifties from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli set the platform before Suresh Raina’s unbeaten 49 helped India clinch a last-over thriller over Australia in Sydney.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, captain Shane Watson led from the front, as his unbeaten 124 helped Australia post 197/5. India's death bowlers ensured the total didn’t cross 200 and that proved to be the difference in the end.

Credit goes to the bowlers: MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni admitted the difference in the T20I series has been the improvement in the performance of the bowlers.

"Lot of credit to the bowlers," says MS Dhoni. "In the ODI series the batsmen were doing well, we needed the extra 10% from the bowlers. That has changed with Bumrah coming in and others getting their act together.

“Yes, the batsmen have taken it up a notch, but it is the bowlers who have done their job better, which has made the difference. There might be one or two changes based on the conditions in the World T20, but this is roughly what our T20 side will look like."

Man of the match Shane Watson believes Australia still have a chance to win their maiden World T20 title. He said: "They certainly are special. They showed it to us in the one-day series as well. we put up the big score to give ourselves a big score, but couldn't get ourselves over the line.

“At this point of time I am loving every minute of playing for Australia. The privilege to captain the team was great although it was a bit hectic at time. I do enjoy my batting. I blocked the ball a bit too much early, but it was a pleasure to bat with Uzzie. Can't believe he got out.

“We have got the world-class players, there is no reason why we can't have a successful World T20. Just need to chalk out the roles…"

Man of the series, Virat Kohli admits India wanted to finish the tour 4-4 after losing the fourth ODI in Sydney.

He said: "Indeed, reads sweet. We decided before Sydney one-dayer that we want to finish the tour 4-all. Just because we played so well earlier but didn't get on the board. I was disappointed when I got out because I wanted to finish the game off. I challenge myself to finish them off when I chase.

“The way Yuvi and Raina, both of them coming back, finished it off, credit to their character. (Rohit starts dancing midway because Kohli is asked about him). I have said this many times that I am a big fan of Rohit. The time he has got, and the miles he can hit the ball…”

India’s bowlers, who were brilliant in the first two games, didn’t get the job done in the third T20I.

Indian bowlers have bowled 28 full-tosses today…yes, some Yorkers end up as full-tosses but still 28 is too high. #AUSvIND

An interesting idea for Australia to look at.

Australia can field all openers in the batting line-up…too many of good openers around. Finch, Warner, Watson, Khawaja, Marsh, Lynn

All-rounder Irfan Pathan sets sights on T20 World cup

After being in oblivion for couple of seasons, all rounder Irfan Pathan is back among the wickets, swinging the ball both ways and proving a handful with the bat.

The Baroda skipper has led his team to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 final and emerged the top wicket taker with 16 scalps in nine games. He has also scored 190 runs at an average of 47.50 and strike rate of over 150.

With India struggling in limited overs cricket in recent times skipper M.S. Dhoni has often been left seeking a bowling all-rounder.

Currently youngsters Hardik Pandya and Rishi Dhawan are in the mix but if they don’t impress in Australia, the selectors will be keeping close eye on the in-form Pathan ahead of the Asia Cup Twenty20 and World Twenty20.

Pathan admits an India comeback is what he is looking at but at the moment he is happy leading Baroda.

"That’s why I play cricket. That will be something nice, the way I have gone through in the last two-three seasons. It will be the happiest moment.

But I am keeping my head down and trying to do what I am doing. Along the way things happen. At the moment I am pleased to lead Baroda to any final after two seasons. The guys have responded well on short notice," he said.

After missing the initial Ranji Trophy games he had a decent first class season and in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He has been out of favour for India team since August 2012 due to a dip in form and fitness issues. But now, the 31-year-old is feeling he at his best again and confident of bowling anywhere.

"The zip is up there. I really don’t believe in speed and I don’t trust the speedometer. I am able to beat batsmen with swing, that’s the win for me. When I hit batsmen on the on the pad I am in the game, that’s what my bowling is all about," said Irfan.

"I have taken the responsibility to take wickets throughout the season. Mentally I know I am bowling at my best and can bowl in any situation. I am happy and satisfied but want to go one step further," he added.

The 31-year-old said he had been also working on variations with the ball. "I have got control in swinging the ball both ways and am happy with my rhythm. I am in a really good frame of mind."
